Clarksville Fire Rescue crews responded to an incident where a vehicle crashed into a home
Clarksville, TN – According to the officials, this unfortunate incident occurred in the 3300 block of Summerfield Drive.
Battalion 3 teams from Stations 7, 10, and 1 were dispatched to the scene.
The homeowner was present but uninjured during the incident. The vehicle had run into the breaker box, causing electrical wires to rest on the hood of the truck.
CDE Lightband was called to disconnect the electrical supply to ensure safety.
Once the electricity was shut off, the building was stabilized, and the injured driver was extricated from the vehicle. Montgomery County EMS then transported the driver to the hospital for treatment.
Building Codes officials responded to stabilize the structure further and remove the vehicle.
The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the homeowner with living arrangements due to the displacement caused by the crash.
