CPD is warning the public to lock up their guns, hide them, and hold them

Chattanooga, TN – According to the police report, from the beginning of this year until March 31st: 94 firearms were reported stolen from vehicles here in Chattanooga.
Unfortunately, 53 of those firearms were stolen from unlocked vehicles.
CPD is warning residents here in Chattanooga to take firearms out of vehicles or secure them properly if kept within the vehicle.
If you leave your vehicle unattended you should always have doors locked, and have your firearm within a secure container.
