Chattanooga, TN – According to the statement, the Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s Covington Driver Services Center will close on Friday, Sept. 27 for the installation of new credentialing equipment and self-service kiosks.

The center is scheduled to reopen on Monday, Sept. 30.

These new self-service kiosks will allow customers to complete various Driver Services transactions, including renewing or replacing a Driver License or ID card, changing an address, updating emergency contact information, advancing a Teen/Graduated Driver License, paying reinstatement fees, and requesting a license reissue after meeting reinstatement requirements. The kiosks also feature photo-taking capabilities and support payments via Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit and debit cards.

Additional Driver Services Centers, including those in Cookeville, McMinnville, Dickson, Fayetteville, Columbia, and Shelbyville, as well as 12 partner locations, will also close next for similar equipment upgrades.
