Chattanooga, TN – Captain Skyler Phillips of the Chattanooga Fire Department was recognized with the Co-Advocate of the Year Award from the Chattanooga Area Employment Consortium.

Erskine Oglesby, president of the consortium, presented the award to Captain Phillips in recognition of his continued efforts to support the community, particularly individuals with disabilities.

Phillips received the honor last month during National Disability Employment Awareness Month and was presented with his plaque and certificate in person on Wednesday.

Through numerous community programs and initiatives he has led, Captain Phillips has demonstrated a strong commitment to helping others.

“Thank you for all you do to assist those with unique challenges gain employment and live fulfilling lives,” said Oglesby.
