Firefighters prevent major damage in early morning blaze on Bonny Oaks Drive
Chattanooga, TN – Chattanooga firefighters responded swiftly to an early morning fire on Sunday that destroyed a garage but spared the attached residence from significant damage.
At approximately 3:38 a.m. on April 6, emergency crews were dispatched to the 6300 block of Bonny Oaks Drive following multiple 911 calls reporting visible flames.
Upon arrival, Red Shift companies encountered a working fire in the garage and immediately initiated a fire attack.
Despite the garage being declared a total loss, firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading into the main home.
No injuries were reported among civilians or firefighters.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Responding units included Squad 7, Ladder 7, Engine 6, Engine 8, Engine 15, Battalion 2, and Battalion 3.
