Hamilton County, TN – According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, this incident occurred around 1:10 a.m. Wednesday.
The car chase started on Dayton Pike after HCSO deputy saw a black Toyota sedan driving north with one headlight.
When the responding deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver sped north in the fast lane, turning right onto East Highwater Road.
The car chase ended in Soddy Daisy, when the driver left the roadway and crashed into the trees.
The driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver’s name or identity have not yet been released.
This incident remains under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
