Tennessee – A 20 year old Tennessee woman has been charged with the sIaying of her partner who she allegedly kiIIed after discovering about his infideIity after coming across the victim’s correspondences with another person.
The young woman, 20-year-old D. Badget, has been charged with first-degree murder following the fatal shooting of her partner, Steven, amid allegations of infideIity.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a shooting around 5:40 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, they found the defendant in the driveway, reportedly screaming for help. Inside the residence, officers discovered the victim deceased with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Tennessee authorities stated that the defendant told deputies that the victim had been using her phone after his own device was broken. She later discovered several messages on the phone after he had logged into his account, which she said revealed he had been unfaithfuI, according to WVLT.
Deputies reported that the woman then retrieved a firearm from the nightstand in their bedroom and waited on the couch for approximately an hour until he returned home from work. Upon his arrival, she confronted him about the messages, holding the gun in her hand.
The woman told investigators that she racked the slide of the firearm multiple times to emphasize that it was loaded, while demanding the victim take certain actions regarding the status of their relationship.
According to deputies, an argument followed, during which the victim allegedly attempted to grab the weapon. In response, she discharged the firearm, fatally striking him.
