Smith County, TN – THP officials said the fatal accident occurred on Wednesday.
It happened on I-40.
Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that multiple vehicles crashed at the location.
Officials said that a car ran underneath a tractor-trailer as the truck was slowing down from a previous crash.
Two people were killed in the crash, troopers said.
The victims’ age or identity have not yet been released.
