Kansas – A Kansas man was taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old N. OgIesby, a prgnant woman who was found with a gunshot wound at a residence in Kansas. Despite emergency medical efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at 5:04 a.m. However, doctors were able to deliver her child, who is currently receiving care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a Kansas hospital.
The 19-year-old defendant, M. Criscenso was taken into custody at the scene and booked into the county jail on multiple charges, including first-degree murder, battery, domestic battery, disorderly conduct, criminal restraint, and contempt of court. He is expected to make a court appearance on these charges later this week.
Kansas authorities not released details about the motive behind the shooting or the nature of the relationship between the victim and the shooter. Investigators are continuing to gather information and have urged anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
