Memphis, TN – According to the court documents, the 32-year-old now ex-policeman, later identified as Patrick, reportedly abducted 30-year-old man, Robert, from his apartment. The defendant then took the 30-year-old man to his official police vehicle where he killed him.

Last week, the 32-year-old defendant was indicted on multiple charges, including: murder, abuse of corpse, tampering with evidence and other charges. Prosecutors said the former police officer then took the victim’s body and threw it in a river. Patrick’s friend reportedly helped him dispose of the body.

According to the court documents, in 2021, the 32-year-old defendant reportedly went to the victim’s home and kidnapped the man. The then-police officer then brought the victim to his police car and shot him to death. The 32-year-old man then called his friend, later identified as 31-year-old Joshua, who helped him dispose of the body. 

Prosecutors also said the victim’s girlfriend reportedly Robert missing the following day. The victim’s body was found just days later. During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the 32-year-old defendant reportedly made unusual searches on his phone, which included ‘how to destroy evidence’ and ‘how to clean the crime scene’. The defendant’s motive remains unclear.
