Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department has arrested and charged a suspect in connection with an August 17, 2025, homicide in the 3200 block of Brainerd Road.
The 29-year-old male victim was found with life-threatening injuries at the scene around 4:02 a.m. and was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.
Investigators said the suspect approached the victim, shot him, and fled on foot. Police believe the incident was targeted.
The suspect, who is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center, faces a charge of first-degree murder.
The arrest was made with assistance from the CPD Fugitive Unit and the Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force.

Authorities noted that the charges are accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
