Tennessee – The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD) reported that 91 of Tennessee’s 95 counties had unemployment rates below 5% in November, with 17 counties showing a decrease in their rates.

Moore and Williamson counties recorded the lowest unemployment rates in the state at 2.6%, maintaining the same rate as October. Sevier County followed with a rate of 2.7%, just one-tenth of a percentage point higher than the previous month.

Unicoi County had the highest unemployment rate in November at 6%, a slight increase from its October rate of 5.8%. Bledsoe County also saw an uptick, with its rate rising from 5.1% in October to 5.4%.

McNairy County reported the third-highest rate at 5.3%, a minor increase over October’s 5.2%. Weakley County, which had the highest unemployment rate in Tennessee in October, saw a significant drop of 2 percentage points to 3.9%.

Unemployment rates remained unchanged in 30 counties, while 48 counties experienced an increase in their rates from October to November.
