TDSHS to close Dickson Driver Services Center July 16 for remodel with temporary site and alternatives available
Tennessee – The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDSHS) announced that the Dickson Driver Services Center, located at 114 West Christi Drive, will close on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, for a scheduled remodel.
While the Dickson center is closed, residents can visit nearby Driver Services Centers in Clarksville, Springfield, Antioch, Nashville, Franklin, and Columbia.
Additionally, a temporary Driver Services location will open at Nashville State Community College’s Dickson Campus at 206 West Walnut Street shortly after the closure.
The exact dates and hours of operation for the temporary site will be posted on the TDSHS website. Note that knowledge tests will not be available at this temporary location.
Other convenient options include self-service kiosks and County Clerk partners across several counties, offering services such as driver license renewals and duplicates for non-commercial licenses.
TDSHS encourages residents to use online services at tn.gov/safety/driver-services/online.html during the closure for faster access. For the latest updates and full details on all locations, visit tn.gov/safety/driver-services/locations.html.
