The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation mobile household hazardous waste collection service will visit Bedford, Montgomery, and Sullivan counties on Sept. 28
Chattanooga, TN – According to the statement, Tennesseans are encouraged to drop off hazardous household materials, such as cleaning fluids, pesticides, and swimming pool chemicals, at designated locations.
Participation is open to all residents, regardless of county.
The collection sites and times are as follows:
– **Bedford County**: Bedford County Agriculture Center, 2119 Midland Rd., Shelbyville, 8 a.m.-noon. Contact: Diane Forbes at (931) 684-4651.
– **Montgomery County**: Veterans Plaza, 350 Pageant Lane, Clarksville, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Contact: Mary Anderson at (931) 648-5751.

Since the program began in 1993, over 373,000 Tennessee households have safely disposed of more than 24 million pounds of hazardous material, with over 1,500 collection events held statewide.
