Dickson County, TN – THP officials said the fatal accident occurred on Friday.
It happened on I-840.
Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that two vehicles crashed at the location.
The 33-year-old driver of Ford F-150 crossed both westbound lanes and the median, and struck Ford Explorer.
The 33-year-old driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
He was later identified as Samuel Reyes.
The 36-year-old driver of the Ford Explorer, later identified as Leslie Booker, suffered injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Juvenile passenger, 5, in the Ford Explorer suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
THP officials said that charges are pending.
