TDOT has announced that contract crews will close the I-55 Mississippi River Bridge this weekend to continue work on the I-55 and Crump interchange

Chattanooga, TN – According to the state officials, this closure marks the fifth of eight weekend closures permitted in the construction contract.

The closure will begin on **Saturday, October 26, at 4:00 a.m.**, and will continue through **Monday, October 28, at 6:00 a.m.**, with several key routes impacted:

– **I-55 Southbound** will be closed at Bridgeport Road in Arkansas.
– **I-55 Northbound** will be closed at South Parkway in Tennessee, with local traffic permitted to continue to the McLemore exit.
– The **I-55 Southbound ramp** will be closed.
– **Crump Boulevard Westbound** will also be closed.

A detour will be posted for motorists. All work is weather-dependent.
