Chattanooga, TN – The first month of Fire Academy 2025 involved rigorous EMT training, physical workouts, and an introduction to the Chattanooga Fire Department’s operations.
The cadets received support from fellow firefighters, including members of the Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association, Local 820, and Brothers United, Chattanooga Chapter of the IABPFF.
Throughout February, the unions provided meals for the class and staff. Local 820 enlisted retired CFD Captain Ron Boyd for his culinary expertise.
Boyd, who has prepared meals for cadets for decades, was assisted by Mrs. Julia Boyd and retired CFD Battalion Chief Bob Gann.
The Chattanooga Fire Department expressed appreciation to all who contributed to welcoming Fire Academy 2025.
