Chattanooga, TN – The Office of Mayor Tim Kelly will host a formal swearing-in ceremony for the Chattanooga Fire Department’s new chief, Terry Knowles.
The event will celebrate the official transition of leadership within the department and honor Chief Knowles’ decades of service and dedication to protecting the Chattanooga community.
The ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with doors opening at 1:00 PM. It will take place at the Walker Theatre, located at 399 McCallie Avenue.
Members of the public and media are invited to attend, and a brief reception will follow the ceremony.
