Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department Narcotics Unit has concluded a months-long investigation that resulted in a significant drug seizure and the arrest of a 29-year-old suspect.

According to officials, the investigation was conducted in coordination with multiple CPD units and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The operation led to the execution of three search warrants and the recovery of fentanyl, firearms, cash, and additional evidence.

Authorities reported the seizure of approximately 1.6 pounds of fentanyl, five firearms including a Pioneer Arms AK-47-style rifle, marijuana, jewelry, cash, drug paraphernalia, and a 2015 BMW sedan.

Police said the suspect had outstanding warrants and was prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior felony convictions.

The individual was taken into custody and booked into the Hamilton County Jail.

Officials described the operation as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and illegal firearms possession in the area.
