Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Fire Department recently held advanced squad training exercises designed to strengthen firefighter response to motor vehicle accidents requiring extrication.
Over the past week, squad companies gathered at the department’s training center for a drill that intentionally limited their workspace.
The exercise challenged firefighters to adapt their rescue plans and problem-solve under restrictive conditions.
Department officials explained that no two extrication incidents are the same, making it essential for firefighters to develop versatile skills.
