Chattanooga Fire Department nears major equipment upgrade with new fire trucks
Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Fire Department is nearing a major equipment upgrade, as officials recently traveled to Snyder, Nebraska, to perform final inspections on three newly built fire trucks. These custom pumpers are being assembled at the Spartan Emergency Response manufacturing facility and have been in development for several years.
According to a post shared by the department, the fourth and final pumper is still under construction and is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. Once all inspections and finishing touches are finalized, the fire trucks will be delivered to Chattanooga, Tennessee.
“These trucks have been on order for several years, so it’s great to see this progress,” CFD stated in an update.
The new pumpers are part of a long-term plan to modernize the department’s fleet, ensuring firefighters have reliable, up-to-date equipment for emergency response. Each truck is custom-designed to meet the specific needs of Chattanooga’s diverse service area, which includes both urban and rural environments.
While no official delivery date has been announced, CFD anticipates receiving the trucks in the coming months. Once in Chattanooga, the pumpers will undergo additional outfitting and training before they are officially deployed into service.
This significant investment in new apparatus highlights the department’s continued commitment to safety, readiness, and operational excellence.
