Chattanooga Fire Department responds to North Chattanooga house fire, rescues multiple pets

Chattanooga, TN – On February 25, 2025, at 5:45 PM, Green Shift companies of the Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 300 block of Pine Ridge Road in District 12. The fire, which started in the kitchen, was quickly extinguished by the first arriving crews.
While other units conducted search and ventilation operations, they successfully rescued four dogs from the home.
Three of the dogs were treated with oxygen therapy on scene, but sadly, one did not survive.
Fortunately, no human injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Units responding included Engine 12, Engine 16, Engine 1, Ladder 1, Squad 1, Engine 10, Battalion 1, HCEMS, CPD, EPB, and the CFD Investigation Division.
