Chattanooga, TN – Chattanooga Fire Department crews responded to a church fire at 5519 Beulah Avenue on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, after 911 received reports of smoke and flames coming from the structure.

The call came in at 8:22 p.m., and Engine 14 was the first unit to arrive on scene. Firefighters found heavy smoke pouring from the entire building, with flames visible from a portion of the roof.

Crews on Blue Shift initiated a transitional attack to bring the blaze under control. By 8:46 p.m., just over 20 minutes after the initial call, firefighters had the fire contained.

Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Chattanooga Fire Department credited the quick actions of the responding companies with preventing further damage and keeping the fire from spreading beyond the structure.
