Chattanooga, TN – On Tuesday afternoon, Chattanooga firefighters responded swiftly to a house fire in the East Lake neighborhood. At 2:51 p.m. on July 15, 2025, Red Shift units were dispatched to a residence on the 1900 block of East 25th Street Place.

Firefighters spotted smoke en route and found the front of the home engulfed in flames upon arrival. Fortunately, all occupants had safely evacuated before Chattanooga Fire Department personnel reached the scene.

Engine 9 and Engine 5 crews entered the home to attack the fire, while Squad 1 conducted a primary search and Ladder 5 worked on ventilation. Due to the intense heat, crews were rotated frequently during the operation. The fire was brought under control in less than 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported, and the fire was determined to be accidental, originating in the kitchen.

The response included Engine 9, Engine 5, Ladder 5, Squad 1, Engine 1, Ladder 1, Battalion 1, Battalion 2, Chattanooga Police Department, EPB, and Hamilton County EMS.
