Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department is reminding residents of Prescription Drug Take Back Day, scheduled for tomorrow, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This important community event offers a safe and convenient opportunity for individuals to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications.

Several drop-off locations have been set up throughout the area, and residents can find the nearest collection site to their location from a list provided by the Hamilton County Coalition, which has spearheaded the initiative.

The event aims to prevent misuse and safeguard the community from potential harm caused by improperly disposed medications. Locations for the take-back event include several Walgreens across Chattanooga, as well as food stores like Food City in Red Bank, Harrison, and more.

Residents are encouraged to gather any unused medications and take advantage of this opportunity to help keep the community safe from drug misuse.
