Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred in the early morning hours of June 2, 2025, on Interstate 75 Southbound.
Police responded to the scene at 12:05 a.m., where they found a GMC 2500HD that had veered off the roadway to the right for unknown reasons, traveling several hundred feet before coming to a stop in a wooded area.
The driver, who was the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene by Hamilton County EMS. The name of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities say the cause of the crash remains under investigation. The details released are preliminary and may change as the inquiry progresses.
