Chattanooga strike team deployed to assist Hickman County with winter storm recovery
Chattanooga, TN – A strike team from Hamilton County and the City of Chattanooga was deployed Sunday to Hickman County to assist with winter storm recovery efforts, according to the Chattanooga Fire Department.
The team departed from the Chattanooga Fire Training Center for a one-week deployment after a request was made by the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management on behalf of the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency.
Personnel and equipment from Chattanooga Fire, Chattanooga Public Works, and Hamilton County OEM were sent to support recovery operations and relieve local crews who have been working extended hours under strenuous conditions.
Officials said the team will assist communities as they continue efforts to restore services and recover from storm impacts.
