City of Chattanooga’s Office of Family Empowerment awarded Bronze Tier of Excellence in National Community Action Partnership’s Pathways to Excellence Program
Chattanooga, TN – The City of Chattanooga’s Office of Family Empowerment (OFE) has been awarded the Bronze Tier of Excellence in the National Community Action Partnership’s Pathways to Excellence Program.
This recognition makes OFE the only Community Action Agency in Tennessee to achieve this level, highlighting its commitment to providing high-quality services to the community.
The Pathways to Excellence Program evaluates agencies on 35 Standards of Excellence. OFE’s recognition reflects their dedication to meeting key milestones such as formalizing their commitment through a Board Resolution and establishing an Excellence Team.
“We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to excellence and so excited to be on this journey,” said Rachel Howard, Director of OFE. “This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff and Board.”
OFE provides critical services, including the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, which helped over 4,000 Hamilton County families last year. Additionally, the Family Support Program helped 93 families increase their economic stability in fiscal year 2024.
To celebrate this achievement, OFE invites the public to a celebration event on March 18, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the Family Justice Center, 5705 Uptain Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37411.
