Chattanooga, TN – Thirteen community members recently graduated from the Chattanooga Police Department’s Community Police Academy, completing a comprehensive nine-week program designed to give participants an in-depth look at police work.

The program, led by Sgt. Craw, involved weekly sessions where attendees learned about various aspects of law enforcement, including officer training, investigations, and the department’s efforts to support victims of crime.

The graduates gathered for the ceremony, marking the end of an educational and insightful journey that provided them with a better understanding of the challenges and responsibilities faced by law enforcement officers.

The program is part of CPD’s ongoing commitment to building strong relationships between the police and the community.

The department expressed its gratitude to the graduates for their time and participation, recognizing their efforts to engage with law enforcement and learn more about the work that goes into keeping the community safe.

CPD is looking forward to future opportunities to connect with the public, with another session of the Community Police Academy scheduled for this fall.

Through programs like these, CPD continues to strengthen its partnership with the community, fostering transparency and trust while providing valuable insight into the operations of the department.

If you missed this session, keep an eye out for the next Community Police Academy offering in the fall!
