Chattanooga, TN – The Hamilton Place Rotary Club recognized Master Police Officer Gene Nelson with the Officer of the Year Award for his dedication and service.
Nominated by Chief John Chambers, Nelson has distinguished himself through his work as a fingerprint examiner, SWAT officer, and member of the Peer Support Team.
He is also actively involved in the Mighty Oaks Foundation, where he supports veterans and first responders dealing with PTSD.
His leadership and commitment to both his fellow officers and the community earned him this recognition.
The Chattanooga Police Department expressed its pride in Nelson’s contributions and his lasting impact on those he serves.
