Florida – Last week, authorities in Florida took 41-year-old Lammar into custody on charges of first-degree premeditated murder in connection with the death of his 42-year-old partner Takeesha. The arrest followed a domestic incident at their residence in Florida.
According to the arrest affidavit, deputies responded to a 911 call at approximately 3:45 p.m. reporting a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim in the bathroom with a gunshot wound to the head. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and observed two individuals fleeing the scene immediately after the incident.
The investigation revealed that earlier that day, the shooter had picked up one of his daughters from school. When he arrived at school, he appeared to be intoxicated and was being disrespectful. During the drive home, they stopped at a liquor store, where he consumed alcohol, and then proceeded to a storage unit. The daughter informed investigators that the shooter retrieved two firearms from the unit and placed them on the vehicle’s center console.
Upon arriving home, he allegedly placed the firearms in his daughter’s purse and instructed her to hide them behind the house, citing a suspected police helicopter flying overhead. Once the helicopter left, he reportedly retrieved the purse and took a weapon from it. Shortly thereafter, the woman entered the bathroom, followed by her husband. Witnesses then heard several gunshots.
Family members disclosed that the woman had recently filed for divorce, which her husband refused to sign. Court records indicate that prior to the shooting, the shooter was out on bond after being arrested twice for separate cases earlier in March. His criminal history includes multiple arrests for drug-related offenses and probation violations.
The victim was a mother of four and a grandmother. Her family described her as the “roots of the family,” emphasizing her role in keeping everyone together. She was also an active member of her church, participating in praise dance and community outreach programs.
The 41-year-old defendant is currently being held without bond at the county jail. His initial court appearance is scheduled for later this week. The case has brought renewed attention to the issue of domestic violence in the community.
