Man approached child outside his home before he tried to lure the boy away from his property by telling him that he “needs to talk to him,” and when the child refused, he attempted to grab him; charged
Columbus, OH – According to the police officials, the 39-year-old man, later identified as Josshua, was arrested and later charged with multiple charges after he reportedly attempted to abduct 11-year-old child from outside his home. Police officials said the man, who is wearing bIonde wig, makeup, red lipstick and high heels, is beind held on $100,000 bond and he is to have no contact with the victim.
This unfortunate incident occurred over the weekend in front of the suspect’s home. During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the man told the child that ‘he needs to talk with him’ in an attempt to lure the boy off of his property and away from his dog. The child, who was not identified due to his age, refused. When this happened, the 39-year-old tried to grab the boy.
The boy’s dad, Zachary, told authorities that when the man grabbed his child’s arm, their family pet attacked the man and then he ran away. The man ran away down the street and was arrested shortly after. Luckily, the child wasn’t injured and was able to get away. During an interview with investigators, the 39-year-old man reportedly said that ‘he wasn’t even there and didn’t kidnap anybody’.
Police officials said the man was taken into custody and charged just days after he was arrested for drug charges. Officers responded to the location after several 911 callers told the dispatcher that a man, who was described as homeless, was driving in circles and is trying to speak to children. The responding officers made contact with the 39-year-old and found nearly 2 grams of metth inside the vehicle. He was released on bond for this incident, court records say.
