Wichita, KS – According to the police officials, the 47-year-old father, identified as Roben, was taken into custody and later charged with attempted first-degree murder after he reportedly shot and seriously injured 18-year-old Anakln. Police officials said that the outraged father was reportedly called by his 17-year-old daughter, who reportedly told her dad that she and her boyfriend were shot with a a toy gun. The unidentified daughter also told her dad that there were 3 individuals trying to beat her boyfriend up.
Police officials released a statement, saying that the 18-year-old man was left paralyzed from the waist after the single shot from the furious father caused significant damage to his body, necessitating the fusion of his L1, L2, and L3 spinal bones. This unfortunate incident occurred last month. The responding officers discovered that the 18-year-old victim and two other male individuals were in a vehicle when they began shooting Roben’s daughter and her boyfriend.
According to the suspect’s daughter, one of the people in the vehicle reportedly told her boyfriend, who confronted the 3 individuals, to meet him back at the mall. The girl then called her father and told him what happened. When the 47-year-old father arrived on scene, the unidentified daughter told him who the teens were.
At that time, the 3 teens were getting back to their vehicle. The 47-year-old dad then confronted the teens and tried to open their door before getting his gun and shooting a single shot into the vehicle. The boy was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. The single shot caused serious damage to his body and spinal cord. The 18-year-old reportedly lost sensation from the waist down. Per reports, it remains unclear if the 18-year-old will ever walk again.
