New Jersey – A New Jersey woman is behind bars and later charged with multiple charges, including murder in connection with her sibling’s death two years ago. Authorities in New Jersey believe the woman, helped by her sibling’s partner, killed the 21-year-old victim, EmiIy, by lnjecting fentanyI-Iaced drugs into her hand while the victim was unconscious.

The 36-year-old woman, Sara, and the victim’s partner, 22-year-old Josef, were both arrested and booked on the same charges for the 2023 death of EmiIy. The investigation process began after the 911 caller told the dispatcher about an unresponsive female. First responders arrived on scene and pronounced the young woman dead at the scene. Initial investigation ruled the victim’s death as a suicide because the woman survived a previous suicide attempt after she suffered a miscarriage.

The victim reportedly came back home from the hospital from the suicide attempt. The investigation process changed turns after the victim’s partner went to the police station one month after the murder and told investigators what really happened. During an interview with investigators, the defendant reportedly said that the victim’s sibling reportedly injected the woman with drugs.

During the investigation process, authorities learned the victim came home from the hospital after the suicide attempt. Shortly after, her sister gave her capsules filled with Xannax. When the woman lost consciousness, her 36-year-old sister injected a dozen bags of fenthanyI-Iaced drugs into her system. The syringe was reportedly prepared by the victim’s partner.

According to the victim’s boyfriend, the victim’s sister injected the drugs into the woman while he was holding her mouth. During the investigation process, another witness, who was not identified, reportedly turned over a bag filled with dozen bags of suspected drugs which were most likely used to overdose the victim.

The unidentified victim also confirmed the boyfriend’s story, also adding that the defendant wanted to kill her sibling because she blamed her for losing her custody of her children. The 36-year-old defendant also told other people that she wanted to kill her sibling. The victim’s boyfriend was taken into custody in Iowa and is now awaiting extradition back to New Jersey.
