These experts utilize advanced mechanical and digital processes to analyze fingerprint evidence quickly and accurately, ensuring the precision needed for court use in apprehending criminals.
While other agencies may wait weeks for results, the CPD’s in-house AFIS unit often completes fingerprint analysis in just one or two days, accelerating investigations and allowing the department to serve the community more efficiently.
