Chattanooga Police arrest suspect in North Germantown Road shooting that injured 51-year-old man
Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with a non-fatal shooting that occurred on July 4, 2026, in the 800 block of North Germantown Road.
According to police, officers responded to a report of a person being shot and found a 51-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers provided medical aid until emergency medical personnel arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Chattanooga Police Department’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded to investigate the shooting and process the scene for evidence.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested Curtis Poole, 42, in connection with the incident. He has been charged with attempted homicide, two counts of aggravated domestic assault, aggravated assault, and felony reckless endangerment.
Poole is being held at the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.
Police noted that the charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
