Maine – According to the court documents, the 35-year-old defendant, later identified as Josep, was sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to murder (4 counts) and other charges. Prosecutors claim the defendant reportedly killed his family members, later identified as 62-year-old Cinthia, and 66-year-old Davld, and their friends, 72-year-old Robbert, and 62-year-old Pattricia. The fatal incident occurred last year in April. 

During the trial, the defendant reportedly admitted to the murders. He also shot 3 drivers on a busy roadway. Prosecutors said the fatal shooting occurred just days after he got out of jail. The investigation process began in April last year, after one of the victim’s sister found the victims and called the authorities. The responding officers found the victims. All 4 victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

The responding officers reportedly found a note which stated that a person ‘was getting rid of pain’ and that the ‘person wanted a new life’. During the investigation process, authorities responded to another shooting call on a busy roadway. The responding officers discovered that 4 vehicles were shot and 3 people suffered gunshot wounds.

The 35-year-old shooter, later identified as Josep, was taken into custody. During an interview with investigators, the son reportedly admitted to killing his mom and dad, and their friends. He also confessed to shooting at motorists on the roadway. According to the court documents, the defendant was released from prison 3 days before he shot and killed 4 people. He was serving a sentence for assault.
