Minneapolis, MN – According to the police officials, the 24-year-old trans woman, later identified as Rossa (also known as Masson), and his 22-year-old girlfriend, later identified as Shian, were arrested and taken into custody after they reportedly beat a 3-year-old boy they were babysitting for an extended period of time. Police officials also said that the couple were associates of the children’s biological parents. Both suspects were charged with second-degree murder and both are being held without bond.
The fatal incident occurred earlier this year. In March, officers responded to the suspect’s home in regard to an unresponsive child. The responding officers discovered that the child was covered in bruises and first responders rushed him to the hospital. The boy, later identified as Eastin, was pronounced dead at the hospital, court records say. The responding officers also discovered that the victim’s sibling was also staying with the suspects. They removed the child and put the child into protective custody.
The medical examiner told investigators that the boy’s cause of death was a blunt force trauma to the stomach. The autopsy reportedly revealed that the boy’s boweI was perrforated. The child also suffered nearly 30 other injuries all over his body. Witness, who was not identified, reportedly told investigators that she was asked by Mason to watch the victim and the younger sibling because his girlfriend was not filling well and was going to visit a doctor. The unidentified woman reportedly told investigators that she noticed that the boy was vomiting everything he ate. Shortly after asking the woman for a glass of water, the boy started coughing and stopped breathing.
During an interview with investigators, the couple reportedly said that the child’s bruises reportedly occurred 1 day before the child died. The couple reportedly said that the boy was throwlng up in the bathroom when he lost consciousness and hit his head. The boy’s biologicaI mom reportedly told investigators that she haven’t seen her children in 10 days and the last time she saw them, she thought that the victim’s bruises were because the boy was clumsy. The mother also told investigators that she spoke with her son several hour before he died and that he sounded sick. During the investigation process, authorities realized that the couple deleted many messages between them, but luckily, authorities were able to recover some of them. One of the texts, which Shian sent to her partner, reportedly stated: “Have fun with your little b—-, go beat on her kid.”
