Chattanooga, TN – According to the police officials, earlier this week, a Drug Awareness Seminar was held in Chattanooga to educate parents and caretakers about the dangers of substance abuse, with a focus on the lethal risks of fentanyl.
The seminar highlighted the fact that just 2 micrograms of fentanyl can cause a fatal overdose, underscoring the danger it poses, especially to children and first-time users.
Experts discussed how to recognize signs of drug use, current substance abuse trends, and steps to protect loved ones.
Sgt. Craw and community partners emphasized the importance of open communication and utilizing resources to prevent substance abuse.
The event, supported by the Hamilton County Coalition, Erlanger Health, Chattanooga Fire Department, and others, was a call to action for the community to stay vigilant and proactive in safeguarding families.
