Chattanooga officers connect with youth through Bigs in Blue program
Chattanooga, TN – Chattanooga Police Department officers began their shifts Wednesday with a Front Porch Lineup at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga, reinforcing the department’s ongoing commitment to community engagement.
The event highlighted the Bigs in Blue initiative—a mentoring program that pairs police officers with local youth in an effort to foster trust, build relationships, and strengthen community ties. During the lineup, newer officers had the opportunity to learn about the program’s mission and meet BBBS staff dedicated to supporting young people in the region.
The partnership between CPD and BBBS aims to offer positive role models for area youth while promoting mutual understanding between officers and the communities they serve.
