Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department’s Crime & Intelligence Analysis Unit has shared a detailed map showing the locations of traffic citations in relation to high-traffic crash areas for March 2025.

The data reveals key patterns in traffic safety across the city, with 971 reported traffic collisions in total, and 1,735 citations issued to 776 drivers.

A significant finding from the report is that 29% of the crashes occurred at intersections, with intersections being a critical area for enforcement.

Of the total crashes, three were fatal, emphasizing the ongoing need for enhanced safety measures. Notably, the areas that saw the highest levels of enforcement included major highways, North Shore, and Downtown Chattanooga.

The department’s report also serves as a safety reminder to the public, advising drivers to exercise caution, particularly at intersections where nearly one in three crashes occurred.

The CPD urges everyone to be vigilant and to scan for pedestrians, other vehicles, and potential hazards before proceeding through any intersection.

This analysis provides valuable insights into Chattanooga’s traffic safety and serves as a tool for further improving enforcement strategies across the city.
