Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department recognized several members of its Explorers Program after they completed testing and earned new ranks within the program.

The department congratulated the recently promoted Explorers, including Captain Shawn Asher, Lieutenants Anica Pool and Henry Gooden, and Sergeants Ariel Pool and Kaydence Panone.

According to Chattanooga Police, the group was tested on leadership, situational awareness, department policies, state laws, and arrest procedures as part of the process to earn their new positions.

The department said the promotions highlight the dedication, growth, and commitment of the Explorers as they continue developing leadership skills and learning more about careers in law enforcement.

Chattanooga Police officials expressed pride in the members’ accomplishments and their continued involvement in the Explorers Program. The program provides young participants with opportunities to learn about law enforcement, build leadership skills, and gain experience through training and community involvement.
