Lawrence County, KANSAS – According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, this unfortunate accident occurred around 4:51 a.m. Saturday.
It happened on Pulaski Highway.
Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding troopers discovered that Chevrolet C-10 pickup truck was driving westbound when a Kia Soul crossed into the westbound lane and crashed head on.
The 58-year-old driver of the Chevrolet C-10 was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was later identified as Jefferson Whitfield.
The 28-year-old driver of the Kia Soul, Uziel Guatzozon, faces charges of vehicular homicide, failure to exercise due care, reckless driving and driving without a license.
This incident remains under investigation.
