Tennessee – According to the THP officials, on July 19, 2024, Trooper Adam Cothron of the Tennessee Highway Patrol was critically injured while making a traffic stop along I-40 in Putnam County.

During the stop, Trooper Cothron was shot, leading to life-threatening injuries.

Last week, Colonel Matt Perry visited Trooper Cothron to offer support and present him with a $50,000 check from the 100 Club Nashville, an organization dedicated to supporting first responders and their families.

Colonel Perry expressed admiration for Cothron’s courageous spirit during the difficult recovery process, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol community continues to stand behind the trooper during this challenging time.
