Chattanooga, TN – According to the police officials, this ceremony, which was co-hosted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office – TN and the Chattanooga Police Department, served as a poignant reminder of the daily risks faced by our officers in their mission to ensure community safety.
It was a solemn occasion to honor the courageous men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, emphasizing the importance of never forgetting their service and sacrifice.
During the ceremony, CPD Sergeant James “Mike” Russ, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty last year, was rightfully added to the memorial, further commemorating his dedication and sacrifice.
