Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Fire Department recognized Capt. Tony Manis as he retired after 30 years of service with the department.

According to the department, Manis continued a family tradition of service, following both his father and brother into the Chattanooga Fire Department.

Throughout his career, Manis earned the respect of his fellow firefighters for his knowledge, strong work ethic, and commitment to mentoring the next generation. The department said he was known for sharing his experience and investing in the development of those he worked alongside.

The Chattanooga Fire Department said Manis’ passion for the fire service was evident throughout his career and noted that he will be greatly missed by his coworkers.

The department thanked Manis for his three decades of dedication to the department and the community and wished him the best in his retirement.
