Murfreesboro, TN – Police officials said the fatal shooting occurred right after 9 p.m. Wednesday night.
It happened in the 1700 block of Colyn Avenue.
Murfreesboro Police Department officers responded to a shooting call.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found two victims.
Police said both victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Their identities have not yet been released.
A person of interest is being detained, police officials said.
