Collegedale, TN – According to the Collegedale Police Department, this unfortunate accident occurred right before 8 a.m. Monday.
It happened in the 4800 block of College Drive East.
Collegedale Police Department officers responded to a report of an accident.
Police say the accident occurred in a Collegedale school zone, while the school zone lights were activated for morning traffic.
The student was crossing the street in a pedestrian crosswalk when they were struck by a vehicle.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
