Chattanooga, TN – The City of Chattanooga Department of Public Works has announced scheduled resurfacing and construction projects set to take place from Monday, March 10, through Friday, March 14, weather permitting.

Road resurfacing schedule:

Resurfacing efforts will take place at multiple locations, requiring single-lane closures. Two-way traffic will be maintained with flagging, and driveways or intersections may experience brief closures during milling and resurfacing. The planned resurfacing locations include:

– E 29th St from S Orchard Knob to 4th Ave
– E 48th St from Wilson Rd to Edinburg Dr
– E 49th St from Wilson Rd to Edinburg Dr
– E 51st St from Wilson Rd to Woodland View Cir
– Glenn Fls from W 54th St to Dead End
– Michigan Ave from Maryland Ave to Alabama Ave
– Seneca Ave from Westbridge Rd to Edelweis St
– W 33rd St from Chandler Place to Alton Park Blvd
– E 17th St from Central Ave to Polk St
– Queens Dr from Crutchfield St to Delano Dr
– Roanoke Ave from Stuart St to Wisdom St
– Scruggs St from Dead End to E 3rd St
– Wilson St from Dodson Ave to N Chamberlain Ave
– Wood Ave from Stuart St to Wisdom St
– Dodson Ave from Wilder St to Grace Ave
– E 16th St from Dead End to Dodds Ave
– Frazier Cir from Sylvan Dr to Cross St
– Glenwood Pkwy from Glenwood Dr to Vermont Ave/Rowden St
– Greenwood Rd from Moss St to Wilcox Blvd
– Hoyt St from Richard Ave to Moss Dr
– Moss Dr from Moss St to Hoyt St

All work is subject to weather conditions and may change without notice.

Scheduled construction projects:

Emergency and planned infrastructure repairs will also take place across Chattanooga, leading to temporary lane restrictions and road closures.

4021 Hixson Pike – Emergency gas main repair
Chattanooga Gas will conduct emergency repairs near the intersection of Ashland Terrace and Hixson Pike on Saturday, March 8. The following traffic restrictions will be in place:

– Hixson Pike northbound – Left and center lanes through the intersection at Ashland Terrace will be closed, with all traffic directed to the right lane.
– Ashland Terrace eastbound – Left lane closure at the intersection of Hixson Pike.

Park Ave and E 14th Street – Sewer infrastructure installation
The following locations will be closed from Friday, March 7, through Friday, March 21, for the installation of new sewer infrastructure:

– Park Ave between E 14th Street and E Main Street
– E 14th Street between Park Ave and Jefferson Street

802 Central Ave – Utility installation
Central Ave northbound will be closed at E 8th Street from Friday, March 7, through Friday, March 14, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily for new utility installation. Detours will be posted.

3900 Rossville Blvd at E 39th Street – Sewer replacement
The following restrictions will be in effect from Monday, March 10, until Friday, March 28, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays:

– The northbound right lane of Rossville Blvd will be closed.
– E 39th Street at Rossville Blvd will be closed.

Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and expect delays in affected areas.
