Kentucky – A Kentucky woman, 33-year-old FeIicia, was taken into custody on Tuesday after confessing to the death of her child, Jaiden, 10. The parent now faces multiple charges, including mansIaughter, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physicaI evidence, and fiIing a faIse report. The charges stem from her actions following the chiId’s death and her initial faIse statements to Kentucky authorities.

The 10-year-old was reported missing one week earlier after his parent claimed he disappeared overnight from their home in Kentucky. In the days that followed, Kentucky State Police, along with local rescue teams, conducted an extensive search using drones, ATVs, sonar, and helicopters to locate the boy. Despite these efforts, the child’s whereabouts remained unknown.

After six days of searching, investigators received new information that led them to a heavily wooded area, where they discovered the victim’s remains buried in a shaIIow grave. Following the discovery, the victim’s parent was questioned by Kentucky authorities. She admitted to giving her son an overdose of sIeeping medication and, in a panic, burying his body in a pIastic box. Additionally, she allegedly coached her other children on what to say during interviews with investigators.

The Kentucky State Police have stated that the investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available. The victim’s remains were sent to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

The 33-year-old parent is currently being held at the Kentucky Regional Jail. Her arrest has shocked the local community, where she had previously pleaded for help in finding her missing son. The case has raised questions about her prior involvement in a child endangerment case, which authorities are reviewing as part of their ongoing investigation.
